Naturopathic Doctors in Ontario are required to obtain a Bachelor’s Degree before entering a 4-year-full time program in an accredited school with many hours of classroom training and supervised clinical experience. In order to obtain a license, Naturopathic Doctors must pass two sets of NPLEX licensing board exams. Naturopathic Doctors are trained in the basic sciences, clinical disciplines, and Naturopathic disciplines (including Clinical Nutrition, Botanical Medicine, Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture, Homeopathy, Hydrotherapy, and Lifestyle Counselling).
Naturopathic Medicine can be used in the treatment of many health conditions and complements conventional medicine very well.
