Stress Management and Mental Health
While many patients come in for other reasons; addressing mental well-being is one of the most important parts of getting to the root of health challenges. Depression, anxiety, insomnia, and chronic stress all significantly impact quality of life and make it challenging to make, maintain, and observe changes in other components of life.
We work to ensure that all of the building blocks are in place nutritionally and supplement-wise for our body to create neurotransmitters, process hormones, self-regulate, and support the brain. Understanding motivation, cognitions, and limiting beliefs is part of the process as well. We evaluate day-to-day busyness, the community of support, and where joy is found in life.
Mindfulness is another integral component of mental health, learning to be present with the emotions that come throughout the day and throughout periods of life. We work on strategies to incorporate this even from a young age.
Sleep is another essential component of mental and overall health. Whether one has challenges falling asleep, staying asleep, or getting restful sleep, we try to understand the root of the concern and shift and support things to allow for proper rest.
